370. Fri-Date: Moving Forward Requires the DEATH of Who You Were

Jul 23, 2021 | Fridate, Podcast

We’re wrapping up our Greek adventures in Mykonos today, and are now within 40 days of moving to Italy. That means every single day is going to be accounted for. A big part of that is going to be taken up by getting rid of things. All of the accumulations from a different life, things we are no longer taking with us. Change can sometimes feel like a type of death, the dying of the person you once were. But in this case, it’s to become someone better: the kind of person you’ve always wanted to be.

In This Conversation We Cover:

  • [04:16] Intentionally giving up control
  • [08:39] Visiting places that are inspiring
  • [10:51] Dying a different kind of death
  • [12:51] Getting rid of things that you love
  • [20:51] Giving things up to move further
  • [25:59] Figuring out what you need to let go of
