We got a review recently that we thought it would be valuable to discuss on the show. To paraphrase, it says: “I love the show, but there are too many bad words. It’s unprofessional, and I think people would enjoy it more if you swore less.” Getting past the expletive-filled gut response, this does actually bring about an interesting conversation. We all say we value authenticity, but is censorship authentic? Can we value authenticity while still wanting people to change who they are for us? I don’t think our answer will surprise you, but we want to give you our take on why we are the way we are – and why this podcast is better for it.
In This Conversation We Cover:
- [03:22] Responding to a critical review
- [07:37] Wanting to remain authentic
